    There is a Toyota engineer who has posted several video's about the upcoming Land Cruiser & new generation 4Runner. He talks about both those assembly plants and I think he said Tahara for the First Edition & both plants for Land Cruiser and 1958.

    Does anyone know if this last earthquake in Japan was near the Land Cruiser assembly plant? Any damage there could possibly delay production of the First Edition model.

  3. 1958 Wheels

    I know the 1958 has smaller tires than Land Cruiser, but I don't remember if the wheels will also be smaller diameter. The 1958 will be my choice if I can get the wheels & Michelin tires that are standard on Land Cruiser and the side steps as options.

    Thanks for the color update--Red is also my favorite color. My second choice from this list would be Wind Chill Pearl.

    The nearest Lexus dealer is 100 miles away, so Land Cruiser for me.
